In a combined rehabilitation of the patients with a heart ischemia (HI) and hypertonic disease (HD) as a background a specific role belongs to the application of different natural factors capable to effect the adaptive and compensative processes in disturbed systems of an organism. The speleotherapy method has been effectively applied in a medical practice for a renewal treatment of patients with respiratory organ and allergic diseases. However, the application of speleotherapy method for treatment of patients with HI, and also of patients with HI in combination with HD is not still well known.

A clinical investigation of 28 patients with HI (pressure stenocardia of functional class I-II) on a background of HD stage II (according to WHO (World Health Organization) classification) was executed. The study of a geodynamics condition was executed by using an integral rheography method according to Tishchenko procedure, lung rheography and rheoencelography. The patients’ systolic pressure (SP) was also daily monitored and electrocardiography (ECG) investigation was executed at the beginning and finishing of the treatment. The patients were subdivided into two groups. The first (main) group consisted of 15 patients, which were subjected to a speleotherapy added to the main treatment (10 procedures per treatments). The second (for a comparison) group consisted of 13 patients, which were subjected to a traditional combined rehabilitation program applied to patients with HI and HD: a low-dose therapy with betaadrenoblockators and inhibitors of angiotensinconverting ferment (ACF), metabolics and sedatives, singlet and oxygen cocktail.

As the executed investigations showed, a significant improvement in a general condition of the patients, SP reduction and stabilization, cease or reduction in anginous attacks, reduction of asthenic and neurotic syndromes, improved geodynamic values, reduced frequency of extrasystolia as compared with the group of the patients subjected to a combined rehabilitation program without speleotherapy included. Thus, the executed investigations allow making a conclusion about a necessity of speleotherapy inclusion into the complex of rehabilitation program for patients with HI and HD as a background.
